Trying to blog

Before I begin, I just have to say that in our deciding what to name our blog, Derek was dead serious when he came up with the title "Dutch Oven". I nixed that pretty quickly. Ok, now that I got that out...(no pun intended) we can start.

Well, as you all know, we have made it safely to Idaho. This week we finished unpacking and setting up home. Derek has been on the job hunt, while I did some school stuff. Today I had orientation, which was pretty boring, but probably a good thing to go to. I learned a few things, got my picture taken for my ID card (so it's official, I am now a bengal), and acquired a parking permit. The rest of this week is suppose to be in the mid 90's so I am hoping that before summer officially ends for me for two years, maybe we can spend an hour or so laying out by the pool.

Ok, so now that you are all caught up, we are going to explain a few things about our blog. We decided to start a blog as our best attempt to keep in touch with everyone close. It is our hope that we will stay on top of updating so then it is up to you whether you choose to follow or not. Our hands are clean! We will be sending an email letting you know when we update the blog because we want it to stay within close family and friends, as we (or most likely Derek) may be sharing some family-only material. anytime you want. Alright, well since you probably won't get this for a few days since I need to collect all your emails, I am going to quit for tonight. We miss you all already. It is weird that even though it hasn't been long, we miss you all more knowing we are just not a short drive away. That seems to definitely be the most difficult part of our move so far.
